Nazi Officer Kept Human Furniture

Yup, every piece of information related to the Nazi era probably has some reference to some gory details. Most people however probably do not know about one officer's sickening furniture collection.

Heinrich Himmler was once the head of the German SS and the Gestapo during the Nazi era. He was thus one of the most powerful men of his time and was a prime mover in the annihilation of the Jews.

One story about him was taken from Hitler’s godson, Martin Bormann, Jr. He was reportedly taken by Himmler’s mistress to see an unusual collection. What met Bormann were specially crafted pieces of furniture and articles made out of human parts. They were crafted by prisoners themselves out of fellow prisoners. One chair had recognizable human legs and a book had human skin for a cover.

Fact or Fiction?
Fact!

Well, I don't know Himmeler, but I do know that Ed Guin had a nice collection of furniture made from human parts. He was also reported to eat his soup out of human skulls.

There is a book bound in human skin in the Library of Congress. There was a TV Show not long ago that had a group of people wearing shoes made from the skin of their dead leader, but I don't remember which show it was.

    Interesting post.

Although the Nazis did terrible things, there is no known evidence that this is true. Bormann Jr was the only one who ever mentioned this story and has stuck with it pretty consistently, trotting it out on tv's recent Hitler's Henchmen series. However, since no one else has ever repeated the story, it can be regarded as suspect. Dont beleive everything you hear from the media. the winners of the war always write the history books. ever heard of nazi UFO's?
